Blocks Away!

Yesterday we left work early, to go meet our SS Dean.  When we drive around the corner we get a sneak peak of how the house is looking before turning into our road, and we again weren't disappointed, as you will see from the pictures!  We are powering along, and the house is now a house with walls!

Dean gave us a run down of what has happened, and what is going to happen.. the best news is that we on track. With so much great progress being made and all outdoor doors in place we are ready for lock up! The lock up checks were being done today so now we move onto the exciting part of seeing rooms coming together with plasterboard.

As you will see we haven't gone for the conventional bricks and mortar type house, instead we have opted to go with Hebel.

To give a brief idea what it is.....
Hebel is an innovative building material made from autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC). AAC is a unique building material – a combination of sand, water, lime, cement and gypsum which are processed with a gas-forming aluminium paste, to create an aerated lightweight insulating mineral product. AAC delivers the benefits of traditional masonry such as strength, fire and pest resistance. However with its unique cellular structure it is much lighter, easier and quicker to install. It also provides superior thermal insulation while still delivering excellent acoustic properties.

So check out the latest picture's.
